Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it a mosquito? No, it’s three custom made flying aircraft shaped like humans flying around the NYC skyline to promote a new film called Chronicle. Just the latest campaign to go viral, thanks Thinkmodo.
Back in 2009 they shot to online fame by releasing a music video consisting of well-choreographed webcam footage from their fans. This time around they’ve been even more ambitious and, despite being a relatively unknown act, produced arguably the best example of an interactive music video yet - “Mirror”. By connecting to both your Facebook and Twitter accounts, as well as your webcam, the video comes to fruition in a bizarre display of cutting-edge browser capabilities, with the visual content becoming almost entirely personalised. It’s no surprise then that the site has gone hugely viral around the world.
SOUR have clearly outdone themselves. It’ll be very interesting to see what they can produce next. Either way, this video will no doubt inspire an array of similar music videos throughout 2011.

A new stop motion video for OK GO’s new single “Last Leaf”. A beautiful collaboration with Samsung and the company’s new NX100 camera witch captures a lot of decorated toast.

The real last action hero is found! What starts out as your average cheery cinema advert turns into something of a horror film for St Johns Ambulance. The advert was shot in front of a real audience at the Cineworld Haymarket in London’s West End, and even included an impressive fake audience participation stunt. Its all aimed at the fact simple first aid techniques can help save lives. It might make popcorn sales drop, or the decision between sweet and salty a lot more debatable though…

Tweet It - a parody of Micheal Jackson’s “Beat It” and it is brilliant. We are a little late picking up this one but sod, just enjoy it!
Let’s make this Friday - Feel Good Friday! This is a great tale about a guy who wrote a kids book that went viral and he decided to do something good, to make others feel good, through his success.
Another interactive YouTube video that features a dance off between the Joker and Batman that you control. Fantastic!
The new Windows phone…Really? Yes really. This is Windows new advert for their brand new phone, it made me physically laugh out loud at some points! (Watch for the dad getting hit by the baseball…pretty funny!)

Snickers are putting the fear into kids, and parents all over the place with a new Halloween ad. Today I found something whilst randomly trawling through the Internet, a delightful video for Halloween by Snickers. Now if this Snickers lady scares the bejesus out of you, you are not alone my friends as creepy just got a whole new meaning…

Can you pour the perfect pint of Stella Artois? These brothers certainly can, apperently. We have had a crack on many occasions of pouring a stella pint of Stella Artois into their highly designed glass (FACT: it cost the company £6M to research, design and perfect their pint glass) and here is the result…the campaign is aimed at building awareness for the Stella Artois 2010 World Draught Masters Global Finals will see the best British bartender grabbing their chalice and taking on the cream of the beer pulling crop from 32 countries from around the globe in the quest to land the coveted title of Stella Artois 2010 World Draught Master. The finalists will once again be judged by a panel of experts on their ability to honour the time-honoured Stella Artois 9 step pouring ritual as part of an electrifying night of theatre and entertainment at Old Billingsgate.

How do you test an SD card to prove it’s unbreakable? Feed it to a shark, offer it up to some puppies and smash it through a window. If it works, your rewarded with some snazzy fire works. Lovely. This little viral from Samsung is a bit of fun, don’t you think?

Use your influence with the Samsung Galaxy. A video made by The Viral Factory on behalf of Samsung to encourage you to use your influence to start a flash mob using your child, and a Samsung Galaxy phone. Quite a cool viral and nicely made!

Take some dirty water, bottle it up, put it into a vending machine and teach some New Yorkers a lesson about starving and undernourished people in third world countries. Nice idea, nice execution and nice impact! Nice!
A sequel to a viral that could have been better and is a little better…thankfully! Remember that viral for a bluetooth headset I posted a little while ago featuring a redneck hunter, a deer and an eagle? Well, here is the sequel…the hunter is thrown in prison in this one, but thankfully it is a little smoother and quite a bit funnier!
