Twoolr is certainly the twool for Twitter! Twoolr is a brilliant online tool if you are interested in extensive and in-depth analysis of your Twitter account. Through the use of charts, tweet clouds and conversation analysis, it provides extensive and in depth statistics about your Twitter account. It is a great tool for putting all your Twitter stream in one easy and recognisable format and is a must have tool for brands and people who are concerned about their social networking skills. I have to admit I’ve been playing around with it in the office and I’m very impressed with how it condenses data to a few easy graphs. Jerry Clark for The Cool Commentator
GetGlue is a social network for entertainment, with more than 10M new unique ratings and check-ins for tv shows, movies, music and books every month. GetGlue users rate and check-in to things they like to get recommendations and earn rewards. The GetGlue mobile app enables users to check-in to tv shows, movies, music and books, plus see what their friends are consuming in real-time. On GetGlue.com users can quickly build up their taste profile, get fresh suggestions every week, browse top lists and find taste neighbours. A bit like Foursquare - only you get stickers not badges, and it has an emphasis on entertainment; what you’re doing/watching rather than where you are. So kind of sidestepping the privacy/stalker issue surrounding location based social networks. Rachel Lewis for The Cool Commentator.
Celebs leave Twitter alone for charity takeover!
As of Wednesday some big names such as Kim Kardashian, Justin Timberlake, Lady GaGa and Usher amongst others will disconnect their lives from the digital world to raise money for “World AIDS Day” and Alicia Keys charity “Keep a Child Alive”.
Until the target of $1 million is raised the celebs will keep their tweeting traps shut, for now celebs are putting out their last few tweets and trying to raise awareness by promoting the campaign, keep your eyes open for other chilling ads such as Kim Kardashians coffin bed.

A quick way to take video screengrabs and share them via Twitter. We have seen photo sharing on Twitter since (almost) day one but now we can share video too. And it is really simple too, so simple that we are sure that people will be sharing videos of things accidentally, or on purpose, of some naughty content your mother, and your followers, should really never see.

The use of Twitter is rewriting the book, literally! The guys at Loducca, Brazil have come up with a nice way to promote the newest release from the international best selling author Paulo Coelho, The Aleph. It’s called ‘AlephTweets’. The basic jist is Loducca used software that combined tweets from all over the world with the words of The Aleph. These tweets are then displayed on a website which, ‘rewrites’ the book in real-time word by word. It’s a really nice concept especially when you look a little deeper…
‘The Aleph’ means the ‘the point where time and space converge’, which was experienced in an epiphany Coelho had whilst crossing Asia on the Transiberian train (which travels through 7 different time zones). This moment of sudden revelation is nicely integrated into a twitter campaign, by using real-‘time’ tweets and placing them into a ‘space’ where everyone can read. Soo much depth and meaning man…

Singing Tweetagrams from Orange. Yesterday we brought you The Conversationator and today we bring you the Tweetagrams from Orange. This is a really nice use of social media to engage users whilst increasing a positive brand awareness. We really love it and are a bit gutted the campaign was better fed through Twitter as we only just heard about it - and as we are The Cool Commentator this shouldn’t happen, but sometimes does - so shoot us!
Could you commit social networking suicide? The Suicide Machine cuts you off from fake friends, and lets you live your life doing the things that are actually important…but could you do it? Could you abandon your ‘friends’ on facebook, or your followers on twitter and everything else that you use?
