Twitter World Cup.
Everyone loves Twitter and tweeting, as long as they understand the concept and platform and don’t just talk about what they had for breakfast or what they plan to have for dinner. Unfortunately, a lot of people like to tweet about Football (urgh!) and other sports and this has lead some techheads over at Sony Ericsson to develop the Twitter World Cup.
The Twitter Cup - A World Cup football tournament of tweets. If you like a particular team, you tweet their name with the appropriate hashtag (ie: #twc England), and the team with the most tweets wins the World Cup.
I doubt England have much of a chance at winning, we never win anything.

Sony Ericsson Phones Get Spectacular 3d Introduction

Maybe the guy who went to all that trouble (worth watching every year) to decorate his house with Christmas trees and then computer-programmed them to synchronize with Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s “Wizards in Winter” might just be interested in the new 3D laser projection technology currently in use by Publicum Media for Sony Ericsson. It’d sure be easier than stringing 25,000 lights all over the exterior of his house.

Publicum created a seven minute 3D projection called When Fairy Tales Come True which was shown to an audience of 10,000 at the Vilnius City Town Hall in Lithuania. It’s purpose, other than to entertain, was to promote the Sony Ericsson smartphone Satio and Aino.

This is one very cool event for Sony Ericsson…this is a perfect example of why I LOVE experiential marketing and advertising…this will stick in the lucky spectators minds far longer than some print advert showing mobile phone and a set of headphones…
