Another 3D Projection Mapping project, this time brought to you by H&M. Its still cool, and its still baffles us as to its brilliance, but is 3D Projection mapping now getting old? Or can it still bring us something new and exciting?

What would you do if you had 97,000 toothpicks? Well create a giant masterpiece of course! It took over 500 students, around three weeks to create this image - you guessed it - made entirely out of toothpicks…Here is there result!

There’s a bit of a penchant for anything Lego right now; remember the lego USB sticks? These are an amazing idea for Christmas presents - Just like the original Lego bricks, each storage box can be clicked together and then stacked to create a giant LEGO structure but with the added benefit of storage within. Love the retro aspect of these, and the fact you can let your inner child out, building ridiculous huge Lego models! Most storage boxes are pretty hideous and need to be hidden away, these would have pride of place in my room! You can buy from here and they’re £26 each. Rachel Lewis for The Cool Commentator.
MyKea…get your common as muck Ikea furniture personalised! It isn’t cheap but it is pretty damn cool. Ikea is everywhere at the moment and this little start up has jumped onto the band wagon and have allowed you to choose your furniture, pick your design and get it printed and sent out to you. Designers can also get involved and submit their own designs to be used via the website. Lovely.Click the image to find out more.

Who needs a Restnest? I think everyone needs one of these stylish Restnests by Dedon. Just need to find somewhere peaceful and scenic to hang one now.

Beeple is Mike Winkleman and this is one of his projects. He is a graphic designer from the USA but spends much of his time working on “art crap” in a variety of different media. His work has been featured in the likes of Wired and he encourages you to do “what ever the fuck you want” with it, as long as you link back to him - so Mike, we are posting some of your work and linking back.

It’s all gone up in smoke…These cool pictures have captured smoke in quite a magical form…as magical as smoke can get. Using a variety of techniques, colour, pattern and shapes these pictures are pretty awesome.

Banksy directs The Simpsons title sequence and draws (see what we did there?) a new perspective to light. There isn’t much to say here other than it is pretty cool, and quite poignant. If The Simpsons makers commissioned this, then kudos to them! (UPDATE: We just found out they didn’t!) What we are particularly interested in is that it is currently only at 300+ views on Facebook…we will report back this afternoon on whether viral looping has taken effect and let you know what views it is up to…if your interested in numbers and stats that is - we certainly are!
The world is full of interesting things…Here are just a few. Enjoy.

These clever little bags were given out at events around the world in the past few weeks. The Paris Motor Show, Lingerie Stores in Germany, Max Factor events and others. These cool bags are stylish, innovative, fun, and modern. So if you need a new bag…Why not chose one of these!

HowBigReally.Com puts a lot of things into perspective…from oil spills to festival sites. Type in your postcode and see how much of your local area would be covered if a natural disaster or huge festival was to be on top of it. Some quite interesting visualisations are brought to your door on this cool little website. Have a place around and see what you think.
