So we’ve seen a lot of 3D projection mapping lately, so here is another one to add to the pile! This video was made in tribute to the 600th anniversary of the Medieval astronomical clock in the city of Prague and projected onto it. Great way to celebrate a birthday don’t you think?!

The technology is increasing in popularity quickly and it just seems to be getting better and better. This is the first example we have seen used, this effectively, to advertise a product, in this case a Toyota car. The team at Glue Isobar have done an incredible job.

‘DO NOT ADJUST YOUR SCREEN’ is the message on the new Sony 3D television advert that is to be flying across Europe in the next couple of weeks. The football focused (what isn’t at the moment??) advert wants us to get the new 3D television… although I’m not sure I’m altogether convinced to dump my TV…will you be dumping yours for the new 3D craze?

British weekly fashion magazine Grazia goes crazy with some 3D tech, Augmented Reality and Florence and the Machine. What a nice little mix…could be worth buying this weeks issue just for that. Here is what The Guardian reported…
Bauer Media’s women’s fashion glossy Grazia will jump on the 3D bandwagon today with an augmented reality issue featuring Florence and the Machine singing and dancing on the front cover. The “walk-in, talking Grazia” will feature augmented reality (AR) codesthroughout the issue, activated by holding the magazine up to a webcam or iPhone. As well as a virtual performance by Florence and the Machine singing You’ve Got the Love, it will offer readers a 360- degree view of the latest spring fashion trends. Grazia’s editor-in-chief, Jane Bruton, described the effect as “stunning”. The issue was created by Bauer and the interactive creative agency Wardenclyffe. The magazine is offering readers a guide to the new technology at graziadaily.co.uk/3D. An iPhone app will unlock further special features, including the ability to “spin Florence around by blowing into your iPhone and take a picture of her in any location”, said Bauer. Get down to the news agents and get your hands on a copy for shits and giggles!
The first ever game of Rugby screened in 3D looked like a hoot…I would have loved to have been there! Watch the video and see how it all went down. We blogged about the event earlier in the week, not we have the case study of sorts to go with it!
Burberry are planning to host the first ever Fashion Show in FULL 3D at next weeks New York Fashion Week. Pretty exciting stuff…shame it isn’t being launched by a brand that isn’t so affiliated with “chav” culture in the UK but it should still be a cool concept. Yes, I know, TERRIBLE picture as well.

Did you watch the Six Nations Rugby at the weekend? If you did, I bet it wasn’t in 3D was it? 02 put on a fantastic event that allowed guests to watch the England VS Wales game (a corker might I add) in full 3D so that it was as though they were in the Twickenham Stadium themselves…accept without the chill factor! Brrrrrrr!
